Je suis fière de vous annoncer que ma photo « Like a dream » a été sélectionnée lors d’un concours organisé par la galerie Photo Place (Vermont – Etats-Unis) pour faire partie de leur prochaine exposition. Ca faisait plusieurs mois que je n’avais pas participé à un concours de ce type tant j’ai été occupée à d’autres projets photographiques. Mais lorsque j’ai vu le sujet, je me suis dit qu’il était temps de me remettre dans l’arène 🙂
Car il s’agit bien d’une arène ! Photo Place m’a dit qu’ils avaient reçu 1280 photographies et je ne peux m’empêcher du coup d’être fière d’avoir fait partie de la poignée de sélectionnés (40) et je me dis que mes photos doivent avoir ce petit quelque chose en plus qui fait qu’elles se font remarquer 🙂

Juror’s Statement What an amazing inspiration trees are for photographers! The work submitted showed a remarkably wide range of creative interpretations of trees as subjects, with images of a consistently high quality. Which is to say that it was a truly daunting task to select photographs for the gallery and online exhibitions. I was drawn to images that made me wonder, that made me re-think my own preconceptions about trees, and that encouraged me to linger and look longer. Congratulations to all of the artists who submitted such excellent work – I could easily have included twice as many photographs and had an equally strong exhibition.
